Batch Freezers
There are 3 main catagories of Batch freezers within the carpigiani range. These are Vertical Batch Freezers, Horizontal Batch Freezers and Presurised Horizontal Batch Freezers.
General Information
These are advanced automatic vertical batch freezers that directly produce and automatically extract ice cream. The LABO is the basic machine for the production of artisan ice cream, it can be found in all corners of the globe producing the highest quality ice cream. The digitally electronic LABOTRONIC DGT range is designed for the professional who wants produce the freshest possible ice cream. The production cycle of these electronic machines can be programmed to perfectly batch freeze any ice cream mix and other specialities. Indeed it is only with the LABOTRONIC DGT that you can produce a wide selection of ice creams but also pocheé fruit and with the version "G", the perfect Sicilian slush. Available in 9 models, (4 of which are electronic) with a batch freezing capacity ranging from 8 to 1000 Kg/hour of mix
The LABO Range
LABO M
The LABO M is Carpigiani's robust horizontal batch freezer, technologically up to date, safe and easy to use. It is built to produce ice cream with the maximum hygiene and can comfortably be used by the expert ice cream maker but also easily by the aspiring artisan.
The LABO M's batch cylinder has a high refrigerating efficiency thanks to its large diameter and direct expansion system. The automatic patented HARD-O-MATIC control system guarantees high quality ice cream, of the correct consistency, whatever the mix.

LABO 170i
The Labo 170I is a floor standing model similar to the Labo M series except is has a much higher hourly production and is designed for continuous operation for large laboratories.
LABO 8 12 E
LABO 8 12 E is a compact counter batch freezer particularly suitable for catering and restaurants,. it is a professional machine to produce excellent artisan ice cream and delicious fruit sorbets. It has been designed utilising the same technology as the big batch freezers of the galateria's laboratory. It is complete, safe and easy to use. It is only necessary to pour the mix in the machine, turn the switch and wait for the extraction's signal.
With the Hard-O-Matic automatic ice-cream consistency control, Labo 8 12 E always ensures consistent production of ice cream and high quality sorbets.
All the components have been designed to guarantee the highest possible standard of hygiene and easy cleaning.
BOIL 5
This is a semi-automatic unit you simply put on the top of the horizontal batch freezer, it is useful to prepare cold mix for sorbet or hot mix for ice cream.
While the batch freezer is producing the first ice cream, you can pour a new mix into the Boil 5 for heating and start in sequence a continuous production.
The Labotronic Range.
General Features.
The Labotronic machines are the new generation of Carpigiani batch freezers that with their electronic microprocessor rapidly and hygienically produce the highest quality ice cream ever obtained by previous batch freezers. The Carpigiani Labotronic machines - safe, reliable, quiet, and powerful - provide maximum performance and hygiene.
Thanks to the Hard-O-Tronic, the new beater, the low voltage (24 V.) of the auxiliary services and to Carpigiani technology, Labotronic means reduced energy consumption, quality ice cream, safety and easiness of use.
The electronic microprocessor allows the use of any mix in the maximum and minimum quantities without any intervention by the operator.
Hard-O-Tronic
By simply pressing a button, the Hard-O-Tronic, thanks to its self-diagnostics function, selects the ideal ice cream production cycle, constantly checking it and thus guaranteeing a beautiful and flowing ice-cream with any recipe, always achieving the maximum possible consistency.
The flashing of the Hard-O-Tronic monitor and the simultaneous acoustic signal indicate that the ice cream is ready and perfect.
The new Carpigiani beater ensures the consistency and quality of the ice cream thanks to the wide spatulas, which treat ail mixes powerfully and homogeneously.
The scraping elements, which are replaceable, allow total extraction of the ice cream, thus saving time and product.

The ergonomic front position of the electronic controls and monitor makes operations simple and safe, ail it takes is pressing a key: the microprocessor autonomously and reliably controls, manages and checks the production process and the functioning of the machine.
Labotronic machines have also been fitted with extras that make them extremely versatile.
Double condensation (Models 1420 - 2842 - 4060) In case of water shortage the Labotronic will automatically switch to air condensation.
Granita/Slush
(Models 1420 - 2842 - 4060) When required, by activating the appropriate switch, it is possible to produce excellent granita/slush.
Pressurised Horizontal Batch Freezers
The PR range is able to produce either ice cream (with a 100% overrun) or artisan ice-cream by programming these advanced machines. There is an option of 2 models, from 80 to 160 Kg/hour of mix transformed into ice-cream or artisan ice-cream
Vertical Batch Freezer Range
The Pronto vertical batch freezers are designed for the production of real artisan ice-cream in small quantities. Easy to use, they are particularly suitable in a restaurant, enlivening and complimenting the dessert menu with fresh ice-cream.
Pronto 4 Counter
Pronto 4 Counter offers the ideal solution for producing real 'Artisan Ice Cream' when space is a premium.
All you need to do is simply pour mix into the cylinder and 1 0 minutes later you have at your disposal a delicious ice cream to enrich any menu.

Pronto 4 and Pronto 8/C
The Carpigiani Pronto 4 and Pronto 8/C are vertical batch freezers that produce professional quality artisan ice cream in small quantities.
The machines are small in dimension and are supplied on castors, making them easy to move.
To install them you simply need a 13 amp electric socket.
Easy to use:
You pour the mix in the mixing cylinder, press the button and after approximately 10 minutes you take out and extract the ice cream with the special agitator.
A convenient area on the front of the machine contains the needed tools.
The Pronto 8/C model is also provided with a chilled area for the short-term conservation of the ice cream. (4 doplers of 1.5 litres).
